Eurobaromètre
La Commission Européenne sonde l'opinion publique régulièrement depuis 1973. Nos élèves de Terminale ont suivi cette méthode d’Eurobaromètre dans les rues de Strasbourg la veille de notre journée Euroscola au Parlement Européen. Une vingtaine de personnes ont été interrogées.

Il n'est pas toujours facile pour les Strasbourgeois de s'exprimer spontanément sur le sujet. La plupart des interviewés reconnaissent privilégier l'identité française à l'identité européenne. Comme le précise la jeune femme (qui a répondu longuement à nos questions) dans la vidéo ci dessus, la liberté de circulation au sein de l'Union est appréciable tout comme l'usage pratique de l'euro.
La plupart des jeunes interrogés ont voyagé dans plusieurs pays de l'Union Européenne, pour certains avec leur lycée comme celui qui a fait des séjours pédagogiques en Pologne et en Suède. Comme lui, deux autres jeunes avaient participé il y a quelques années au programme Brigitte Sauzay et gardent un très bon souvenir des mois chez leurs correspondants allemands.
Une étudiante regrette par contre que les échanges avec la proche Allemagne soient finalement assez rares dans le cursus universitaire. Un étudiant en journalisme nuance le propos en évoquant l'ouverture de son école vers l'étranger.
On comprend que quelques jeunes ont eu l'opportunité de visiter le Parlement Européen et ont apprécié ce moment. Si les élèves n'ont croisé cet après midi de mars qu'un seul véritable eurosceptique, les doutes sont plus importants chez tous nos interlocuteurs quand on parle de gouvernance fédérale ou de l'intégration de nouveaux pays.
Certaines personnes ont peu plus de recul sur le sujet et nous font comprendre qu'une Union Européenne à bientôt 28 membres manque de stabilité économique. Même si les élèves insistent sur le fait qu'un gouvernement politique plus efficace permettrait de résoudre encore plus ces disparités socio-spatiales, les personnes interrogées pensent qu'un très long chemin reste à parcourir. L'attachement à la souveraineté nationale est encore important. Quand on aborde la question d'une intégration de la Turquie au sein de l'Union Européenne, aucun des sondés s'est montré spontanément enthousiaste. Même si certaines reconnaissent que leur pays aurait sa place économiquement, c'est souvent l'argument de la religion qui est avancé. Mais qu'en est-il des commerçants ?
Dans une célèbre chocolaterie de la ville, on reconnaît que la présence des institutions européennes et la proximité de la frontière sont plutôt intéressantes pour les affaires même si en tant qu'individu, l'identité française prédomine. Terminons notre tour d'horizon avec une crémière plutôt europhile. Elle considère que le Parlement Européen joue un grand rôle dans la vie des Strasbourgeois et se sent impliquée dans les décisions qui y sont prises. Elle connaît en tout cas davantage certaines politiques et appelle à plus d'unification et un rayonnement plus important dans le monde. On ne pouvait mieux ouvrir le sujet.

Walmart : a multinational company
Walmart is an American public multinational
